Well that doesn't seem like too much work so we'll try that next time we play. So I guess our best bet is to set the right options when hosting a server (enable NAT punchthrough and disable proxy), check to see if TTS is whitelisted on his firewall and forward 11155 port, correct me if I'm wrong. I'm pretty sure it should go away if we manage to fix the map freezing problem. I'll have him see about that.įinally, the objects not loading thing is not the the only problem I'm getting after too many reconnections, so I'm not concerned too much about fixing it independently. The link you posted isn't working, but I guess you wanted to link I'm pretty positive he has TTS whitelisted, but yeah I'm not sure he did forward the port. I'm taking it as he should enable NAT punchthrough and disable proxy. :DĮlect to disable/enable NAT punchthrough (don't) and proxy server (do) Thanks for clearing it up about the options, but I didn't really get which one to do and which one not to. My guess is that proxy connection causes these problems, but that leads to another question: what causes proxy connection? I tried to find some info about how to avoid connecting with proxy in this game, but couldn't. I couldn't find any help googling, so I'm here to ask what my (or our) problem is and how we can try to fix that. I found that to only be fixable by reloading the game, which'd give me another 2 to 3 server reconnections.Īnother thing to note is that there were three other people we played with, and none had encountered these errors. After that, I couldn't choose a colour after loading in, and the map would only load partially (as in, not all objects would load). I tried fixing it with reconnections, but it only worked for a while, two or maybe three times. Everything appeared interactable, but I couldn't see any effects, such as a die wouldn't move if I picked it up, although the friend said it did actually move. Second, after some time spent on his server, I'd stop seeing anything happening on the map. I've only recently started playing TTS (in fact, that was my first multiplayer session ever) and I've discovered some errors occuring when I played at my friend's server which'd really freak me out.įirst, the game always said it couldn't connect to his server and connected me through proxy (which is uncomforrable enough with its huge latency).
